After the death of their mother the five children return to their parent's house to prepare the funeral. They choose to stay for the novena (PA-SIYAM), a nine days lasting prayer for the soul of the departed. But soon strange things start to happen: the death of their servants, who escaped from the house at night, excrements on the floor and spooky noises densify to a bloodcurdling message from the deceased.
